As of 2024, ANTAD's 100+ member retail companies operated over 48,200 stores nationwide, employing more than 625,000 people. ANTAD also organizes the annual Expo ANTAD trade show (Latin America's largest retail expo).

The U.S. trade association for consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies, formerly the Grocery Manufacturers Association. CBA "champions the industry whose products Americans depend on every day," representing over 1,700–2,000 iconic brands across food, beverage, household, and personal care categories. The CPG sector is the largest U.S. manufacturing sector (employing 20+ million and contributing $2+ trillion to GDP). CBA advocates on supply chain, packaging, labeling, and regulatory issues, uniting big brand manufacturers in common causes. It also provides research on consumer trends and product sustainability.

The Canadian association representing Canada's packaged food, beverage, and consumer product manufacturers. Formed by the 2020 merger of two groups (Food & Consumer Products of Canada and Canadian Health Food Association), FHCP is "the voice of Canada's leading food, health, and consumer product manufacturers." Its 100+ member companies produce the packaged goods found in Canadian households, employing more people than any other manufacturing sector. FHCP advocates on regulations, trade, and product safety, and works to strengthen domestic manufacturing and innovation in consumer products.

The world's largest retail trade association, based in the U.S. NRF's membership encompasses department stores, specialty and independent retailers, grocery and restaurant chains, e-commerce and multi-level marketing firms, and industry partners. NRF "is the world's largest retail trade association" and represents an industry with over 3.8 million U.S. retail establishments employing ~52 million workers. It serves as the retail industry's chief advocate on issues like consumer spending, labor, and payments, and it organizes the annual "Big Show" NRF Convention. NRF also aggregates industry research and forecasts (e.g. projecting $5+ trillion in U.S. retail sales in 2025).

The primary industry association for Canadian retailers. Founded in 1963, RCC "has been the Voice of Retail in Canada" and represents over 45,000 store fronts – from independent shops to national chains and online merchants. RCC members account for more than two-thirds of Canada's retail sales. The Council advocates on behalf of retailers large and small on issues such as sales taxes, consumer protection, labor, and credit card fees. RCC also provides research, education, and networking for the retail sector, and hosts industry conferences and the annual Excellence in Retailing Awards.
