Industrial Web Search has a number of built-in tools to help buyers search more efficiently. We provide suggestions as buyers search via an automatic drop-down that displays tags already in our system that are in use by our existing members.
Since we only include tags that are supplied our members to deliver the best results to buyers, searches may or may not generate an exact match in the system every time. But no matter what you search for, one of three things will happen:
- If there is a tag match, the user is presented with a list of companies who are using that exact tag to identify their products and services to buyers.
- If there is no exact match, the system suggests tags that contain the search terms to possibly guide the buyer to the correct supplier.
- If what we have isn't working for the buyer, we pre-populate the search term directly into Google, Yahoo and Bing right from within the system to allow them to continue their search with the simple click of a link, just like you’re used to.
